OUR WORK

MAGIC Programs' overarching objective is to prevent juvenile contact with the juvenile and criminal justice system by empowering community organizations to solve systemic problems.

We partner with nonprofit organizations and service providers that focus on the educational, economic, health, and juvenile justice needs of disadvantaged children, youth, and their families.

MAGIC PROGRAMS THREE PILLARS: Convene, Build and Share

MAGIC Programs is a collaborative of San Francisco neighborhood-based nonprofit organizations whose mission is to transform the community and youth through the MAGIC of collaboration.

CONVENE

In order to make lasting, meaningful social impact, we must communicate, share best practices, exchange ideas, and work together to implement those ideas. We convene bi-weekly and host regular subcommittee meetings to provide community stakeholders with a platform to have productive discussions that can be driven to action in our communities.

BUILD

Through fellowship, we empower the community to succeed in education, careers, and life. From career fairs to a series of summer events offered to San Francisco youth, MAGIC Programs strives to break the cycle of poverty by providing opportunities for new experiences, civic engagement, enrichment, community service, and youth development.

SHARE

MAGIC Programs is a collaboration of 60 organizations whose services we connect to and share with our community. We serve as a hub of educational, economic, health and juvenile justice resources, offering a comprehensive MAGIC Programs Resource Guide to support and connect an individual with the right organization and the right person for their unique needs.

MAGIC PROGRAMS THEORY OF CHANGE

MAGIC Programs believes that shared leadership and community involvement is essential in empowering local communities. This diagram details the theory of change and approach to transformation in the community as a Community Convener.
