DESCRIPTION:Borrowed is a site-specific dance performance and immersive experience that invites audiences to reflect on the deep connections between environmental exploitation and the displacement of Black communities. This version draws direct parallels between the ongoing climate crisis and the historical and current experiences of Black San Franciscans\, especially around themes of gentrification\, systemic failure\, and cultural erasure. \nThrough movement\, sound\, and facilitated dialogue\, Borrowed explores how society has “borrowed time” from both the planet and its most impacted people. The performance aims to cultivate collective reflection\, ignite conversation\, and inspire action toward justice and sustainability. \nTickets are available for free for everyone who needs one—we are committed to equitable access. However\, we do welcome donations to help fund the documentation of this performance so that we can continue to offer and share this work with wider audiences in the future. \n

The Bayview National Night Out Planning Committee & SFPD’s Bayview Station would like to inform you that Bayview National Night Out is now scheduled for Friday\, October 13th\, from 4pm – 6pm at the Bayview Opera House & Joseph Lee Recreation Center. Come out for a family-friendly fun night where the community comes together with the local police station. We will have a kids zone\, free food\, a resource fair\, a talent show\, and more! \nA Talent Showcase will be held during the Bayview National Night Out. All ages are welcome to attend and showcase your talent. This is scheduled for Friday\, October 13th from 4:30pm to 5:30pm. Please register by Friday\, October 6th.
